Matter was created from pure energy left over after the destruction of particles and antiparticles, thus filling the space-time bubble that had just formed.

Not all energy was converted to matter particles. Only a very small part became the matter visible today, which formed all the galaxies, suns, planets and moons we see in the universe today.
